Hear what Alyssa has to say about Case Report Writing Workshop:

“I want to emphasize that I did not have to rewrite anything for my case report, that I hit every single bullet point. I don’t know that I would have done that on my own.”

“We need a community of rehab providers who are passionate about oncology, we need you to write this. Coming from somebody who did not want to write a case report, but so badly wanted to do better for the patients that they see, it was not that bad. We as a community need you, but also, your patients need you. And if you’ve made it this far into diving into this community & this podcast, you have what it takes to write a report.”

Then you need to watch my brand new masterclass, The 3 Step Framework to a Finished Case Report, releasing later this week. Watch it today!

About Dr. Alyssa Carey, PT

Before becoming a Physical Therapist, I had the privilege of working amongst some of the most talented scientists and physicians. Finding my beginnings in genetic sequencing of a plant pathogen, my research career later transformed to focus on the intersection of individualized, targeted therapies and cancer. In the laboratory setting, where curiosity and precision collide, I learned the power of asking bigger questions and the values of communication and collaboration.

Today, as a Physical Therapist specializing in Oncology and Lymphedema care, I’ve discovered that the same principles of curiosity, collaboration, and communication that fueled my days in the lab are, too, essential to my work as a clinician. Weaving these tools into my role as a Physical Therapist, I walk alongside individuals, uncover the roots of their impairments, and develop individualized roadmaps – just as unique as the person – with the greater goal of meeting their functional goals. Through this approach, I strive to help individuals find hope for new opportunities and often find a sense of personal empowerment and sustainable change along the way.

The laboratory setting has taught me many lessons, and I wholeheartedly embrace each lesson in my practice as a Physical Therapist.
