It’s the (second) most wonderful time of the year, with APTA-Combined Sections Meeting 2020! We’re in Denver, Colorado this year & there are some stellar presentations, posters, platform presentations, & exhibit hall booths that I’m looking forward to seeing!
If you’ve never been to CSM, you are missing out! If you’re new to CSM, I’m highlighting my must-do, top 4 things of CSM that you’ve got to see for yourself:
- The presentations/courses – there’s so much awesome information from a diverse community of physical therapy professionals. Even if going as a student, you’ll learn so much & be able to implement what you learn immediately upon returning to your practice Monday morning. With so much to learn from so many sections, don’t be afraid to dabble in a variety of topic areas.
- Platform presentations – think of these as mini-courses covering brand-spanking-new research, with many different authors & topics.
- Academy of Oncology PT business meeting & Celebration of Life – we have the opportunity here to literally shape & change how we as a section of APTA establish our practice & influence our profession. Yes, we do. PTs, PTAs, students, we get to decide as part of participating in our business meeting – so why wouldn’t you? Plus the community remembrance of our patients, the Celebration of Life, is a beautiful way to honor our patients in community with our colleagues.
- Exhibit hall – Poster presentations, booths, & swag galore!
Speaking of the exhibit hall, the Academy of Oncology Physical Therapy will have some of your favorite OncoPTs at their booth throughout the weekend, including me! I’ll be there Friday from 1-2pm, so stop by & say hello!
