I spoke with Tina Fernandez Steckler about how HERS helps patients in the San Francisco bay area, plus she shares how to find these resources in our own backyard!

Tina’s Bio

Tina worked in various capacities for nonprofits for many years; prior to joining the HERS Team, she served as Development Director at SAVE (Safe Alternatives to Violent Environments). Tina has a B.A. in English Literature and a Paralegal Certificate from St. Mary’s College. A 2013 Fremont Chamber of Commerce Leadership Fremont graduate, she is a member of the Niles Fremont Rotary Club, and co-founder of the Tri-City Nonprofit Coalition. Tina is a life-long San Francisco Bay Area resident and has resided in Fremont since 1991. She is married to Chief (Ret.) Craig Steckler, is a mom to Jacob (25) and Julia (23) and enjoys reading and gardening in her spare time.
